‘Run For Strength’ is the brainchild of Ozi Akyildiz and Sam Quattrone who wanted to make a difference to research efforts into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which affects Ozi's young son Kaya. The inaugural event was held February 2009 and to date has raised over $86,000 for Duchenne MD research at the National Muscular Dystrophy Research Centre.

Albert Park Lake will once again reverberate to the sound of hundreds of feet hitting the track for the 5km Walk, and the 5km & 10km Run.
